I dropped in for a pint this week around midday. I was served at the bar by a nice fellow; bald, moustache, don't know his name. He was alert, pleasant, intelligent and very professional. The place was mostly empty - maybe 12 other people. Now, is this a situation where a skilled bar person is going to make a simple mistake with cash? Not likely.
I gave him $20 to cover an $8 beer. He short-changed me, giving me only $2 change. I didn't realize until a minute later. I called him over and asked how much change he gave me. With a troubled look on his face he wanted to know how much I gave him. I simply asked again - what change did you give me? He said $2. I told him I gave him $20. He said okay, and went and got my missing $10 from the till. All quite routine, apparently.
THIS IS AN OLD TRICK AND SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED.
Do you agree - this guy is either incapable of handling customer money, or he is a thief. I later phoned the manager, Darren, who was completely uninterested and just said the guy made a mistake.
STAY AWAY.
No, I would NOT recommend this business to a friend
