The special place that the Yoga House is today was born shortly after the birth of my daughter. As much as I loved being a Mom, I needed a way to manage the demands of an infant. I started teaching and practicing in the basement of a library, and even though the space wasn’t ideal, I knew I had found a sanctuary to nurture myself and others. After 9 years of teaching at various locations (mostly basements!), because there wasn’t a local studio in the community, I felt inspired to find a location where myself and other students could come up out of the dark basement into a bright space that felt like home.
