A 7 hectare oasis oh-so-close to central Newmarket. Escape the hustle and bustle and see what biodiversity you can spot. Migratory birds in the shrubs, muskrats in the river, the resident fox on the trail, spring wildflowers... Enjoy this 1.4 km trail that runs along the bank of the East Holland River and links up to the Nokiidaa Trail to take you further. Get on the trail by foot or bike at the bridge at Davis Drive or just before Madsen's Greenhouse. Parking is available at the Tannery Mall (paid) or at George Richardson Park off Bayview Parkway. The Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority administrative offices are also situated here. Dogs-on-leash is the rule at all conservation areas. Take nothing but photographs.
