L’AFRY est un organisme à but non-lucratif, fondé en 1994 dans le but de rassembler la communauté francophone de la région de York. Depuis, elle grandit avec ferveur pour devenir l’organisation qu’elle est aujourd’hui, offrant à sa communauté diverses opportunités d'activités, de rassemblements, de services et d'emploi tout au long de l’année. L'AFRY a comme mission de répondre aux besoins de la communauté francophone de la région de York dans toute sa diversité. L’AFRY occupe 2 bureaux principaux dans la région, offre deux (2) campus de centres éducatifs (garderies), un (1) centre francophone pour l'enfant et la famille ON y va ainsi que quatre (4) sites de camps d’été, en plus d’offrir des activités communautaires et des ateliers.
