These gyms have been operating in Saint John and Rothesay sense 2008. Afterburn’s approach to exercise is more practical, efficient, and holistic. They focus on correcting and strengthening functional movement as opposed to isolated strength/muscle development. The trainers assess and grade a client’s movement ability. They then design programs to target problems with body asymmetry, identifying exercises that will build strength and restore proper movement. Afterburn’s performance workouts concentrate on the development of power, strength, agility and speed. Workouts consist of movement, conditioning and flexibility while closely monitoring proper technique. Performance training is available through one-on-one, semi-private, or group.
