Glenn J. Niemela

Glenn has practiced civil litigation for 25 years in British Columbia. Glenn was called to the bar of British Columbia on August 26, 1988. Glenn received his LLB from the University of British Columbia in 1986. Before joining Peschisolido & Company as associate counsel in April 2010 Glenn has practiced as a sole practitioner since January 16, 1991. Glenn provides legal advice and representation in issues dealing with civil litigation. Glenn has represented clients in civil litigation matters at all levels of courts in Canada from the Provincial Court, B.C. Supreme Court, B.C. Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Canada. Glenn practices in the areas of builders liens, construction, strata property and real estate litigation. Other areas of litigation in which Glenn practices are: bankruptcy and insolvency, commercial, derivative actions, shareholders oppression remedies, foreclosure, mortgage and real estate fraud, fraudulent conveyance and fraudulent preference, debt collection, family law, unjust enrichment and constructive trust claims. Glenn’s practice is not limited to these areas of civil litigation. Glenn has represented clients in specialized civil litigation cases involving issues such as the independence of justices of the peace and the unauthorized practice of law. Glenn has been successful in representing his clients in the great majority of his cases in the recent past. Glenn was recently been successful counsel in a leading Court of Appeal case on a case regarding the provisions of the Strata Property Act with respect to significantly unfair treatment. Glenn has represented clients in Court of Appeal matters including, matters in family law, commercial litigation, strata property law and estate litigation. Glenn is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia and the Canadian Bar Association.
