Dr. Punja is a Calgary native who obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Alberta and his medical degree and his residency in Ophthalmology from Queen’s University. His post-graduate experience included fellowships at the University of Ottawa in Ocular Pathology and the University of California, San Diego for Ophthalmic Facial, Plastic, and Reconstructive Surgery. He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He has certifications by the American Board of Ophthalmology and American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS). Doctor Karim Punja has had his practice in Calgary for fifteen years. He has been honoured with teaching awards both at the UofC and the UCSD.
