Alliance Française of Edmonton

French language school. L’Alliance Française is the largest network of French language and cultural centers in the world. There are 1,300 Alliance chapters established in 112 countries, serving 400,000 students. In Edmonton, any student can register all year long. L’Alliance Française is dedicated to promoting French language and culture, and to fostering friendly relations between francophones and francophiles of all racial, national and ethnic origins. With over 300 members, l’Alliance Française d’Edmonton, a non-profit, non governmental cultural and educational association, is headed by a Franco-Canadian board of directors. It is not subsidized by the French Government. Committed to pedagogical and cultural excellency, l’Alliance Française offers a wide variety of French courses, social activities and cultural events, including lectures, concerts, films, exhibits, “wine and cheese” parties and discussion groups.
