By Col from BrockvilleLacking Good MechanicsRiverside Ford is typical of many dealerships these days. Their staff in Sales and Customer Service are very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately that's where the good news stops. If you take your vehicle in for service they are competent but expensive. But like many dealerships as well as others they rely on their diagnostic scanners. The scanners produce fault codes that sometimes indicate accurate solutions but many times do not. This is when the value of a "real" mechanic comes in. And unfortunately Riverside has Diagnostic technicians not mechanics. Case in point, analyser codes pointing at "severely retarded and "lean" left side and right side. Suggested cause "major" engine problem even engine replacement. To a real mechanic these symptoms might suggest a problem with the fuel. Solution make sure right grade of fuel is used. Potential savings - $'000's.No, I would NOT recommend this business to a friend-
