Calgary Meals on Wheels

Non-profit organization. To build a stronger, caring community, Calgary Meals on Wheels promotes health and independence by providing quality, nutritious and affordable meals to people in need of our services. Although our principal clients are seniors, people with physical and mental disabilities, and people recovering from illness or surgery, we also serve the working homeless as well as vulnerable school children. Offered 365 days of the year, our Regular Meal Program consists of one lunch tray and a hot meal tray. These meals are prepared in the Calgary Meals on Wheels kitchen and delivered Monday through Friday by a dedicated corps of volunteers. All meals are prepared to meet Canada's Food Guide standards and accommodations are made for clients who require special dietary needs, such as texture modifications, renal and diabetic diets. Short term long term we're here to help. Age and finances are not qualifying factors to sign-up for service.
