Watch out, if you want shoes that will last more than a month.
I bought shoes at Aden Footwear in Woodstock, thinking that I'd get a really good product. It had a good name and sold high-end shoes.
But the shoes started to come apart within four weeks. So, I took them back, thinking I'd get a refund or an exchange.
But instead of a friendly staff, who wanted to make sure their loyal customer was satisfied, I encountered a stonewall. They gave me the run-around.
I was told it was my fault the shoes fell apart. (I'm sorry, did I make the shoes? I don't think so.)
Then they suggested I contact the overseas manufacturer to lodge a complaint myself because they don't do that sort of thing. (Yeah, isn't it crazy when a hometown store actually stands behind its product, protects the consumer, and makes sure the consumer is 100% satisfied!)
To top it all off, the owner hid in his office while I was there. When I asked to speak to him face to face, he sent a staff person to say, 'He's too busy,' Too busy to speak to a customer!
Needless to say, I won't be shopping at Aden again, ever. It's their loss; I spent about $400 per year in their store. They totally miscalculated. They should've refunded me the $100 and reap the reward of pleasing a valued, committed customer.
No, I would NOT recommend this business to a friend
